The FARGO DTC 1500 is an ID card and smart card printer equipped with advanced features for both data protection and card customization.
INNOVATIVE PROTECTION
This device ensures high standards regarding both data security and anti-counterfeiting measures. The FARGO DTC 1500 features a resin scramble data protection function, which makes the information printed with the resin panel on the used ribbon completely unreadable. Furthermore, the printer is password-protected and supports AES data encryption to provide end-users with additional peace of mind.
CUSTOM OVERLAY WATERMARK
The FARGO DTC 1500 direct-to-card printer allows for the integration of a custom watermark directly onto the card’s overlay. Users can permanently apply an image—such as a logo, symbol, or text—significantly reducing the risk of counterfeiting and card duplication. This feature represents a reduction in additional investment (e.g., holographic lamination films or foil stamping) while simultaneously increasing the security of the printed card.
BLACK PANEL MANAGEMENT
The printer manages the black panel, allowing users to manually adjust it during each use based on color concentration. This results in “K-panel” printing with deeper, sharper blacks for both text and barcodes.
