Diebold Nixdorf RT One Telematic Recorder

The arrival of the Diebold Nixdorf RT One telematic recorder is closely linked to the tax decree associated with the 2019 Italian Budget Law. It applied from July 1, 2019, to retail businesses with an annual turnover exceeding €400,000, and from January 1, 2020, to all other businesses.

The objective is to implement an anti-evasion measure that allows the Inland Revenue Office (Agenzia delle Entrate) to verify sales amounts in real time and cross-reference paid VAT with the volume of goods supplied.

The Diebold Nixdorf RT One telematic recorder is an evolution of the traditional fiscal meter. Compared to the previous system, it can transmit real-time sales data directly to the Inland Revenue Office, relieving merchants of the obligation to manually maintain the daily sales ledger (registro dei corrispettivi).

Just like the traditional fiscal meter, the Diebold Nixdorf RT One features:

• Removable DGFE: A digital journal that records all transactions.

• Fiscal Memory: A tamper-proof memory, inaccessible to the user, which records daily fiscal closures.

• Thermal Printer: For issuing paper receipts (which remain mandatory).

In addition to these components, it includes the capability to forward all recorded fiscal data almost in real time to the Inland Revenue Office via an internet connection.

To complete the Point of Sale (POS) setup, the Diebold Nixdorf RT One can be connected to:

• Dual-display pole: One for the operator and one for the customer.

• Keyboard.

• Cash drawer.
